“Steam is having trouble connecting to the steam servers” error message while login to steam
Just registered and installed the steam on mine system and now wherever I try to login I have got the error message saying that:” Steam is having trouble connecting to the steam servers”. I get this error message while login to my account, can anyone suggest on this issue and so that I can solve mine issue, welcome for all replies. i am using the windows XP operating system.

I have seen many people having this same issue and to solve this issue you just need to delete the clientregistry.blob file on your steam folder and after that you can solve your issue. Just close the steam and after that open the steam folder where you have installed the steam and under that make right click on the clientregistry.blob and after that select the delete. I hope this will help you to solve the issue.

Hello I have tried the solution as you said but still face the same issue. I open the steam folder and under that deleted the clientregistry.blob file and after that restart the steam and when I tried to login to my account I have got the same issue. Can anyone suggest on this issue and so that I can solve mine issue.

Ok first of all make sure your running the steam on the administrator mode and after that just open the steam folder and under that deleted the AppUpdateStats.blob and ClientRegistry.blob file and after that restart the steam and then make updated your steam and after that let me know the issue. even I have faced the same issue and after that I have gone through the below steps and after that I have solved mine issue and so I would like to suggest you this and after that let me know the issue, I hope this will help you to solve the issue.

I think third party software blocking your steam application and so therefore I would like to suggest you to make disabled the third party software like antivirus and firewall on your system and after that make sure your getting the issue or not. If you’re using the firewall then makes sure you configured the firewall to steam and then let me know the issue.

Just try to disable the all background service or program on your system and after that make sure you’re getting the issue or not. To do this you need to go through the below steps: first make click on the start icon and after that click on the run and after that type: msconfig on the run and after that click on the ok button. Now you will get the system configure utility windows and under that go to the general tab and after that make click on the Selective Startup check box and after that make uncheck mark on the Load Startup items (or Load Startup Group items). Now once you done and after that open the service tab and under that make check mark on the Hide all Microsoft services check box and after that click on the disable all button. Now once you finish this all setting and after that save it by pressing the button and then you will get the confirmation to restart the system and ten restart the system. After restarting the system just open the task manger and to do this open the run program and under that type: taskmgr and after that click on the ok button. Now you will get the task manger and under that go to the process tab and after that deleted or end process all the unwanted process by right clicking on the unwanted process. Once you finish all this and after that make sure your getting the issue while login to steam.

By looking at your issue I think you have your system have been infected by the virus and so therefore I would like to suggest you to make scan on your system with the good antivirus on your system and after that make sure your getting the issue or not. If your system infected by the virus and then you will face this type issue and so therefore its neccsary to make scan on your system and so that you can remove the virus.

If you still face the same error message and then just unplug your modem and router and after wait for some minutes and then replugg it again because these devices are need to refresh and by doing this steps you can solve your issue.

Try Launching Steam using TCP and after that make sure your getting the issue or not. To do this you need to go through the below steps: open the steam folder and after that make right click on the steam exe file and ten select the properties. Now on the properties go to the shortcut tab and under that choose the Target add the launch option Steam with the TCP protocol rather than the UDP protocol and after that you can solve the issue.

If above all solution not working to solve the issue and after that I would like to suggest you to make reinstall the steam and after that make sure your getting the issue or not.

Even I have faced the same issue and after that I have gone through the lots of issue to solve this issue but none of them helped me to solve mine issue and after that I have contacted with the support and after that they have solved mine issue and so I would like to suggest you to make contact with the steam support and after that go through your issue.

Well you will need to delete the clientregistry.blob from the steam folder and try to reconnect with the same and see whether you are able to solve the issue.
