Gaming Keyboard: Internet connection not available

Internet connection not available
Yesterday I opened my laptop as usuall and tried to open my MSN. But it was not connecting as if there is no internet. But I checked my connection icon and it shows I am connected with excellent signal mark and the Internet is very well. So I rebooted the computer from my friend's laptop and tried to open the explorer. His home page got displayed! He was even using MSN messenger and was chatting with his cousin. I returned to my laptop and I opened the mozilla firefox with the initial page of google. Firefox said internet is not available. Please help me.

Do you have proxy enabled? Check your proxy setting and make sure it is disabled if yu don't require.

Turn the modem off and wait for a while (about 2-3 min). Then start it and see if it works.

Thanks but for the time being it is fixed. However I doubt if it will sustain. Any other suggestions will also be greatly appreciated.
