How to split an internet connection?
Hello Phineas Here.
I am having LAN internet connection from local cable operator previously i was having only one computer but now my sister also got a new one. although now we are migrating to higher speed speed plan as she will be also using internet connection. but i dont know what hardware i will be required to share internet between two computers What do you recommend as the best choice?

A router or 4-8 port switch will fulfill your need. you can buy either of them. plug the main ethernet cable into switch then plug more lancables to the switch for every computer.and my prefrence between two is Switch. hope it help you

Is there any specific reason for choosing Switch over Hub? if reason exist then what is the diffrence between the two?

everyone know Switches are much smarter than hub although they are slightly overpriced than hub but the performance we can is uncomparable. a switch can save lots of network bandwidth by just eliminating unncessary network traffic.

yes there is difference with swith and a hub.
like working of switch is based on hardware but hub is on software.
both of them have speed but swithch is good than hub.
