EVGA launches Nvidia SLI patch for TrackMania 2 Canyon
I heard that the EVGA has released a patch for fixing issues in Nvidia SLI for the game called TM2 Canyon. However some say that this patch has fixed several issues but some says that it didn’t. If still it didn’t fix the issue, then is there any new update?

The latest graphics card drivers are not really on "Track Mania 2: Canyon" optimized, so that either SLI or crossfire are currently runs his own without modifications. The Nvidia board partner has exclusive so now a "SLI-enhancement" patch made obtainable for download that contains the new "Trackmania" title and "Tropico 4" demo an SLI profile. The patch works with any SLI system, graphics card from EVGA are not so necessary. The only requirement of the current GeForce 280.26 WHQL drivers, the software should work just as with an older driver version. Enhancement of the SLI patch can directly be loaded down with EVGA.

EVGA updates its patch based on the GeForce 280.26, the latest WHQL nVidia drivers. This version adds two SLI profiles for the demo version of Tropico 2 4 and Trackmania: Canyon.

EVGA has released a patch to add support for SLI in TM2 with Nvidia drivers v280.26. I tried with 2 GTX460 in SLI and it works well. You will see a few drops of FPS and low use of the GPU in spots, but it works quite well. Hopefully an official update that will improve things further.

In order for Nvidia graphics cards in SLI configuration is required for some games or demos an SLI profile. These are usually contained in the drivers from Nvidia, but not always up to date because of drivers appear significantly less often than games.

Nvidia is certainly a smart move to expand its market. The company, in fact, receives a royalty on every motherboard sold certified and can thus sell more video cards. From the perspective of AMD is unquestionably a positive side, and that is to offer customers complete Bulldozer CPU motherboards for everything. In the battle with Intel has been filled a gap. The downside could involve the sale of Radeon video cards, but if AMD does not have blatantly wrong, the risk is calculated.
